What the Heck Was I Thinking!!!

So as we all know I posted a thought a while back that since I have started this blog nothing interesting has happened. I went a step further by saying that I needed my naughty 2 year to be more naughty! Well it worked!!! And boy was I silly to ask for such a thing! (Even if life is not so boring when she is awake!) Today I was trying to fix the computer ,which I am sure that Alaina is the one the broke it....when she walks over with a tube of toothpaste, I asked her to go put it away because we already brushed teeth. She goes into the bathroom and I figured she put it away like she was asked to. A few minutes pass and she does not come out. So I call her out to see what she is doing. She walks out and says "brush mommy! All clean!" she is beaming and ever so proud that she did it by herself! her face is covered in toothpaste..my walls and floor got cleaned as well.... I grab the tube of paste and realize that she has not only made a mess but has also managed to eat it! (she does have very breath now!) It was adult Colgate...so I end up calling my poison control specialist (you know who you are) as it says right on the tube "Warning keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed get medical help or contact poison control center right away."..........Needless to say I found out she would be fine. As I was hanging up the phone she comes walking by muttering something to herself and notice that she has yet another tube of toothpaste in her mouth, this time a kids toothpaste. I took it from her and told her "No don't touch!" So now I wonder if she will never brush her teeth again because I told her NO. So really I did bring this upon myself...if not by wishing for it then by genetics alone! So mom I am sorry that you were not able to take showers and enjoy them....getting dressed so fast that you were not sure if you matched completely or that you even had matching socks...and for the many years in which you were terrified to go to the bathroom while I was awake! I know how you feel both stress and being able to laugh at the wonders that a child so little could even come up with. I will tell you this much Alaina/little Melanie always keeps me on my toes and I am always wondering what the next hour will bring to my life!

Yes, thanks to you I still have a fear of bathrooms. But don't worry, maybe you can get some therapy and get over it sooner. In the meantime, enjoy the ride because it is soooooo not boring and it doesn't last forever. Well the fear of bathrooms does but the naughty kid syndrome does not!

That makes me laugh, and I can just imagine it!

Hey, I've linked to your blog now!! You can find ours at http://happanoyane.blogspot.com . It's probably not as entertaining as yours, though....

Happy New Year! We will probably be driving by tomorrow (New Year's Eve).
